Introducing the Hottest New Drink: “COFFTAILS”

Coffee sales and alcohol sales were through the roof when the pandemic hit - which created a match made in heaven and the perfect marriage. Introducing the coffee cocktail, AKA, the Cofftail

Beverage spirits experts believe those entering the cocktail market are drawn to cofftails because they grew up drinking Starbucks and Tim Hortons, so it’s familiar to them.

While not attracted to the classics like Irish Coffee, new cocktail drinkers instead, are looking for trendier cold-brew options such as the Cold Fashioned, made with Tia Maria (cold-brew coffee liqueur,) bourbon and a shot of cold brew coffee.

According to Tia Maria bartender Aaron Male, who saw sales of Tia Maria rise by more than 23% in the past six months, the number one most popular cofftail is the Espresso Martini, made with vodka, Tia and a shot of espresso.

And with the summer weather approaching, Aaron predicts iced cofftails will be the drink of choice in backyards and balconies including ones like the Coffee Raspberry Lemonade made with Tia, raspberry tea and lemon juice.

And if mixing or muddling is too much, but you want that cold-brew coffee taste, Aaron recommends adding a splash of Tia to your regular coffee, tea, hot chocolate, or even ice cream.

Cheers to a summer of cofftails that awaken your senses!  The next innovation for caffeination!
