As we spend more time at home, many of us have undertaken new hobbies or we’re revisiting passions we didn’t have time for before. One of these popular passions is a mixologist also known as a bartender or bar-chef….essentially an expert drink maker!

So if you want to channel your inner mixologist and whip up delicious cocktails without breaking the bank to buy new ingredients, try these three Spring cocktail recipes you can make with ingredients you already have at home!

 

Darling Daiquiri

 2 oz Flor de Caña Gran Reserva 7YO Rum
1 oz simple syrup (sugar in water – instructions on how to make it here)
¾ oz fresh lime juice
Lime wheel, for garnish

Shake all ingredients with ice until chilled, about 15 seconds. Strain into chilled coupe glass. Garnish with lime wheel.

Mint Julep

10 fresh mint leaves, and one sprig for garnish
1 ounce simple syrup (sugar in water – instructions on how to make it here)
2 ½ ounces Woodford Reserve
Natural sugar

Pour simple syrup and insert mint inside a julep cup or classic low-ball glass. Then gently crush the mint with a muddler, ensuring they are on all sides of the glass. Then insert finely crushed ice into the glass, adding Woodford Reserve. Drizzle remaining simple syrup on top and garnish with mint sprig.

 

Spring Thyme

3 ounces Herradura Reposado Tequila
4 ounces grapefruit juice
Soda water, to top
Fresh grapefruit and thyme sprigs for garnish

 Insert ice into a highball glass. Add Herradura Reposado Tequila and grapefruit juice, then top with soda water and garnish with a grapefruit wedge and thyme sprig.
